Rosslare to start new direct ferry service
In November 2020 DFDS announced that it is opening a new service between Rosslare and Dunkerque, ready to be in place for the 1st of Jan.

Irish Times reported record ferry freight figures for Rosslare in January 2021. “New figures from the Iarnród Éireann-owned port, the closest to continental Europe, show that there was a 446 per cent increase in freight volumes on the direct routes in January compared with the same month last year. At the same time, UK freight volumes moving through the port fell by half.”
