Port of Marseille: Full year results for 2020
The Port of Marseille released its end-of-year throughput statistics, showing that total traffic was 68,914,554 tonnes in 2020, a decrease of -12.6% compared to 2019 (78,886,290 tonnes). Liquid bulk was down 4.9 million tonnes (-10.7%), dry bulk was down 2.8 million tonnes (-22.1%) and general cargo was down 2.3 million tonnes (-11.1%).
The number of container TEUs handled in 2020 was 1,317,670 TEU, compared to 1,454,621 TEU in 2019, a decrease of -9.4%.
